Samford deals with state DEI changes
Samford University’sDEI initiatives do not appear to be greatly affected at this time, given its private school status. However, the decision has raised concern from those involved in DEI initiatives here on campus.
Anti-Trafficking event held at Brock School of Business
Samford’s International Justice Mission and the Center for Children, Law, and Ethics at Cumberland School of Law hosted an anti-human trafficking event at Brock School of Business. This event included Tom C. Rawlings of Taylor English Duma L.L.P. and Carissa Phelps J.D., founder and CEO of Runaway Girl.

March is Women’s History Month, and Samford’s Office of Student Success and Diversity is holding weekly events throughout the month to celebrate.

Indoor Track & Field sweeps SoCon again
Samford’s Indoor Track and Field Team left the Southern Conference Championships in Lexington, Va after completing a victorious sweep for the fifth year in a row. While this year marked the fifth straight title win for the men’s team, the women’s team collected their ninth straight conference crown.
Samford Fan Bus drives success
A large bus rumbles along the highway between Birmingham and Asheville, North Carolina. The atmosphere inside the bus is one of excitement and nervousness. The students who fill the seats try to keep themselves occupied for the six-hour drive, all of them eagerly awaiting the game that lies ahead of them and ready to cheer their team to victory.
